Final Fantasy 14 ARR is not going to make the Xbox Version
With the coming FF14 ARR, many Xbox fans asked if the game will also launched in to Xbox version. And publisher of Final Fantasy said they will not release the Xbox version. And the game currency of ff14 is still called Final Fantasy xiv gil.
A Realm Reborn will launch on Sony's PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4 consoles, along with Windows PCs. Rumours of a version for Microsoft's Xbox 360 and Xbox One console have now been quashed, with the project lead putting the blame squarely in Microsoft's court.
I don't want the community to be divided, to be split into two or more, title director Naoki Yoshida told RPG Site. "For example, one player might be on the PC version, another might be on the PS4 version, and I'm playing the Xbox version - but we're not able to join the same game servers. I just don't like the idea. I disagree with it."
The issue stems from Microsoft's cross-platform gaming rules, which require its Xbox games to connect to Xbox specific servers. Sony's rules are less strict, allowing Square Enix to run servers that allow PS3, PS4 and PC gamers to play together.
With Final Fantasy being an incredibly popular series in Japan, it would appear that Microsoft will struggle to compete with native Sony's rival PS4 when the two consoles launch later this year. And for the Chinese levelers, they have already prepared to do ffxiv power leveling to make the new money from this game.
