Final Fantasy XIV video mirror gets real people into MMO characters
Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn ,of which the FFXIV Gil is the main game currency . It is an MMO with similar mechanics, set in the Final Fantasy XIV universe,but it has been completely rebuilt from scratch.
One of the main draws of playing an MMO is the ability to role play as a character in a different world. Square Enix is using that fact to good effect in its latest advertising for Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn in Japan.
What the publisher has done is to setup a giant video screen depicting an area from the realm of Eorzea from the game. People can walk up to a designated area in front of the screen and see themselves appear mirrored as a character from the new MMO. That character will then react by waving with either their left or right arm and moving when you do along what is effectively a long video mirror.
